A youth pastor once told me that he could order the Sunday School material, book Summer Camp, and not teach things that contradict his church’s belief statements and be good for as long as he wanted. He was good with that. He had no passion, no drive to reach students or grow his ministry.
That frustrated me.
When I think about why that made me so upset, I realized that it had to do with the fact that there are other youth pastors who are working harder but have less to work with.
In other words, some youth pastors are hardly working while others are working really hard.
